Jining National High-tech Industrial Development Zone Builds New Hub for New Material Industry

Recently, two high-level innovation platforms, Shandong Advanced Carbon Materials Engineering Technology Research Institute and Shandong Rare Earth Research Institute, were inaugurated in Jining National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, further consolidating the foundation for high-quality development of the new material industry in the high-tech zone.

In order to speed up the development of the new material industry, the high-tech zone, with the concept of park-based layout, cluster-based development and chain-based investment promotion, has invested three billion yuan to build Shandong New Material Industrialization Production Base, which covers a total area of about 353,333 m2 and a construction area of 300,000 m2. The construction of the main body of this project has been completed, which is expected to be fully put into use by the end of the year.

Over recent years, the high-tech zone always takes the new material industry as a leading industry and has cultivated 37 new material enterprises. They focus on making breakthroughs in advanced technologies and key technologies for such key areas as the third-generation semiconductor materials, new carbon-based materials, aerospace, new energy and emergency fire protection materials, to help the high-tech zone expedite the formation of an industrial cluster with obvious advantages in China.
