In Jiangguantun Street, Liaocheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, Shandong Province, there is a village with an indissoluble bond with the feather duster - Jimao Sui Village. Starting from the middle of the Ming Dynasty, every household in the village made a living by tying and making chicken feather dusters, which has a history of several hundred years.

Zhang Fuhua is one of the inheritors of this craft. His chicken feather duster looks bright and feels delicate to the touch. Most of the selected raw materials are purchased from Sichuan, Yiwu, Xiaoshan, and other provinces and cities, and the production process is not simple at all. He said that tying a feather duster is a craft that requires using the tail hair, back hair, and neck hair of a live rooster, commonly known as the "three hairs". It can only be completed through more than a dozen processes, such as selecting hair, arranging hair, disinfecting, drying, sorting and classifying, applying glue, and binding hair on a pole.

With the emergence of various dust removal tools, the dust removal function of the feather duster has gradually been weakened. Nowadays, many people buy feather dusters not for dust removal, but rather as handicrafts and decorations placed at home. They are collected by many celebrities and scholars due to their auspicious and peaceful meaning.
