During the National Day holiday, Zibo was bustling with activity, while public security continued to improve. In September, three cities and six districts and counties in Shandong were recognized as demonstration areas under the Peaceful China initiative, placing the province among the national leaders in the number of areas selected. Shandong has strengthened its three-tiered mechanism for developing a peaceful province and ensured that all parties shoulder their responsibilities for maintaining social stability. Relying on comprehensive governance centers, the province has applied the "Fengqiao model" in the new era and established a law-based, closed-loop process for resolving disputes, with more than 60% of disputes settled at the community level and 90% of disputes in Zibo resolved locally. The province has adopted a coordinated approach combining crime prevention with crackdown, targeting offenses such as telecom fraud. As a result, the number of criminal and public order cases has declined steadily, while the public's sense of security has remained above 98% for six consecutive years. Meanwhile, Shandong is strengthening its community-level grid management teams, improving smart security systems and online judicial services, and continuing to consolidate the foundation of community-level governance in an effort to build a safer Shandong at a higher level.
