Shandong Focuses on Vertical-Domain Large Models to Empower the Real Economy

From October 14 to 16, the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Industry Conference was held in Jinan, spotlighting seven vertical-domain AI large models from Shandong. Represented by the "Seven Stars of Qilu" vertical-domain AI models, these industrial large models are driving the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing sector. Sanvera's Shangzhi Metallurgy AI large model has been deployed at the Rizhao Company of Shandong Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd., covering more than 40 production scenarios and effectively reducing the production cost per ton of steel. Large models such as Inspur's Hairuo and COSMOPlat's Tianzhi have been applied in sectors including petrochemicals, oilfields, mining, and ports and shipping to address industry pain points. To date, 389 AI large models in Shandong have passed third-party assessments, with 100 key vertical-domain models selected and over 170 large-model enterprises placed under key monitoring. At the same time, Shandong is accelerating the construction of supporting computing facilities, establishing a computing power scheduling platform, and launching the "Qilu Intelligent Manufacturing" Token Factory to reduce enterprises' investment in intelligent transformation. Building on its robust industrial foundation, Shandong is transforming process know-how into model capabilities, continuously driving its leap from a major industrial province to a manufacturing powerhouse.
