Weifang Bridges the "Last Kilometer" in Foreign Affairs Services for Enterprises

On October 10, Shandong Province held the Weifang session of its "Foreign Affairs for Enterprises, Seamless Global Travel" support campaign alongside a service exchange conference for enterprises expanding overseas, drawing in-person attendance from more than 200 foreign-related enterprises. At the event, experts from various government departments provided on-site interpretations of pro-business policies regarding the APEC Business Travel Card, certificates of origin, and international market expansion. Meanwhile, industry organizations conducted matchmaking and exchange sessions focused on cross-border logistics, international legal affairs, and cross-border e-commerce.

The APEC Business Travel Card has made international business trips more convenient and cost-effective. Throughout the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Weifang has consistently ranked among the province's leaders in card application volume, saving local businesses more than 24 million yuan in travel and cross-border entry-exit costs. Weifang has also established an Entrepreneurs International Alliance with 14 overseas chapters, instituted a dedicated tracking log for corporate needs to systematically resolve international business challenges item by item, and pioneered the launch of an AI-powered foreign affairs service terminal. The city launched its integrated "One-Stop Foreign Trade" reform and rolled out the "Weifang Enterprises and Products Go Global" initiative. In the first half of this year, Weifang ranked second in the province in export volume, while the total volume and growth rate of its cross-border e-commerce imports and exports topped the province, continually strengthening its foundation for opening up to global markets.
