Shandong Deepens Implementation of the "Ten Thousand Enterprises Going Global, Shandong Trade Worldwide" Initiative

On September 29, the Information Office of the Shandong Provincial People's Government held a press conference to present the outcomes of the "Ten Thousand Enterprises Going Global, Shandong Trade Worldwide" international market expansion campaign. In the first eight months of this year, the province's total foreign trade reached 2.43 trillion yuan, up 4.7% year on year, while its trade structure continued to optimize. Shandong has strengthened policy synergy and empowerment, rolling out targeted measures to stabilize foreign trade, boost automotive exports, promote green industrial transformation, and upgrade cross-border e-commerce, effectively hedging against market risks and anchoring foreign trade fundamentals. By continually cultivating foreign trade entities through business training and industry guidance, the province expanded the pool of enterprises expanding overseas, with nearly 8,500 private enterprises newly recording import and export performance in the first eight months. Leveraging its port hub advantages, the province has increased the frequency of foreign trade shipping routes for commercial vehicles, smoothed sea-rail intermodal transport corridors, and introduced a "factory-to-port direct" model, significantly lowering logistics costs. Consequently, the province's automobile exports surged by 47.6% year on year, continuously unleashing the foreign trade growth driver of its competitive industries.
