Shandong Strengthens Its Cybersecurity Defenses Through Practical Measures and Tangible Results

Placing equal emphasis on development and security, Shandong leverages practical measures and tangible results to weave a dense cybersecurity defense network, safeguarding its development into a leading province in cyberspace. On September 1, the "Qilu Cybersecurity Express," a themed high-speed train serving as a mobile classroom for China Cybersecurity Week, departed with the local cybersecurity mascot "Lu Xiao'an" on board to promote cybersecurity awareness in six cities along its route.

Shandong has established multi-level provincial and municipal cybersecurity situational awareness platforms, conducting routine inspections of over 37,000 industrial enterprises, forming a closed-loop system for monitoring, early warning, and rectification. Furthermore, the province has completed the filing of 58 large AI models across 22 vertical sectors and actively carried out special campaigns for personal information protection. The province's cybersecurity industry has maintained an average annual growth rate of over 10%, with its scale surpassing 30 billion yuan in 2025. Leveraging the National Cybersecurity Integration Pilot Zone in the Jinan Innovation Zone, the province has cultivated numerous backbone enterprises. Meanwhile, several universities have launched cybersecurity programs, building a collaborative development ecosystem for talent, technology, and industry. The main events of the 2026 China Cybersecurity Week will be held in Jinan, further promoting cybersecurity awareness across government agencies, campuses, and communities.
