Zhangqiu District, Jinan: Outstanding Achievements Through Hard Work in H1 2026, Impressive Results in Launching a New Chapter

Recently, the 12th Plenary Session of the 2nd CPC Zhangqiu District Committee was held. As the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, Zhangqiu District has set its sights on four key development priorities and, by focusing on the "Year of Project Empowerment," has achieved a strong start in its economic and social development. In H1 2026, the district's GDP reached 67.31 billion yuan, a year-over-year increase of 6.3%, ranking it second among Jinan's districts and counties with GDP exceeding 100 billion yuan.

The district promoted coordinated quality improvement across the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors, with total agricultural output value ranking first in the city. The strategy to build a strong industrial district continued to be implemented, with the total industrial output value of enterprises above designated size reaching 71.613 billion yuan, an increase of 7.6%. The contribution rate of the service sector rose to 55.8%, and the vitality of cultural and tourism consumption continued to grow. With efforts focused on both projects and science and technology innovation, a number of 100-million-yuan-level projects were signed and launched, 98 projects in the pipeline began construction and were included in official statistics, and the ranks of specialized, sophisticated, distinctive and innovative enterprises continued to grow.

At the same time, the appearance of local urban and rural areas has been continuously upgraded, rural revitalization has been steadily advanced, and significant progress has been made in grassroots governance and ecological conservation. Practical initiatives addressing people's livelihoods, such as education, healthcare, and employment, are being implemented at an accelerated pace, and the Zhangqiu No.4 High School Xiuyuanhe Campus is scheduled to open this fall. Moving forward, Zhangqiu District will continue to make breakthroughs and make every effort to achieve all of its annual goals.
