Recently, the Qingdao–Harbin Engineering University Industrial Development Empowerment and Matchmaking Conference was held at Harbin Engineering University's Qingdao Innovation and Development Base in Qingdao Xihai'an New District. Focusing on targeted matchmaking, the event brought together alumni entrepreneurs from across China, Qingdao-based leading enterprises in industrial chains, specialized and sophisticated enterprises, and financial institutions to build a platform for collaboration.
The conference adopted a format featuring overall coordination at the main venue and dedicated sessions held in parallel. Targeted matchmaking was carried out across three key industrial chains: shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment, integrated circuits, and artificial intelligence. Each session focused on core needs such as industrial upgrading, domestic substitution, and technology commercialization. Cutting-edge technologies and products, including underwater robots, piezoelectric tactile actuators, and environmentally friendly marine coatings, were showcased through dedicated presentations and demonstrations. Government, industry, and universities engaged in targeted matchmaking and in-depth discussions, while the event also connected with signing outcomes, including the establishment of joint innovation alliances.
The event marked an important step in Qingdao's special initiative to help specialized and sophisticated enterprises integrate, strengthen, and develop industrial chains. Going forward, Qingdao will continue to leverage regular matchmaking platforms, deepen collaboration in niche industries, promote integrated innovation among large, medium-sized, and small enterprises, and foster new quality productive forces, contributing to the development of a modern industrial system.
