Recently, construction officially began on the nucleic acid drug R&D and manufacturing base project in the Dongying Port Economic Development Area. As the region's first nucleic acid drug industrialization project, the base will fill a gap in the local biopharmaceutical segment, achieve a key leap from scratch in building a cutting-edge biopharmaceutical industry, and inject new vitality into the Dongying Port Economic Development Area's transformation and growth.

In recent years, the global nucleic acid drug market has expanded rapidly. Faced with this vast blue ocean, the Dongying Port Economic Development Area has taken proactive action, giving full play to the guiding role of state-owned capital and partnering with universities, research institutions, and leading enterprises in the sector to jointly build a nucleic acid drug R&D and manufacturing base. With a total investment of 300 million yuan, the project aims, within five years, to establish a complete industrial chain covering R&D, pilot testing, intermediates, and preparation production.
