Zibo Silk Industry Continues to Shore Up Weaknesses, Expand Business Formats, and Pursue Innovative Transformation

Source:Haibao News 07-17-2026 10:00:00

In recent years, the textile and apparel industry chain has been incorporated into Zibo City's coordinated development plan for its 20 key industry chains, with silk being a core component of this industry chain that stands out for its distinct identity and rich cultural heritage. Building on a solid industrial foundation, Zibo has continuously shored up weaknesses and expanded business formats. The newly opened Hairun Silk Cultural and Creative Park is precisely a key move by the local government to promote crossover collaboration and upgrading of the silk industry. Closely aligned with the development strategy of Zibo's textile and apparel industry chain, the park has completely broken away from the traditional single-function factory model. Focusing on digital weaving, intangible cultural heritage branding, and green production as core drivers, it enables the time-honored silk industry to move beyond mere production and truly connect with new scenarios and demands in cultural tourism consumption.

At the same time, taking the park's opening as an opportunity, Zibo has intensified efforts in talent cultivation, intangible cultural heritage preservation, and master artisan creation. It has officially inaugurated the training base for Shandong Vocational College of Light Industry, the Qise Warp-Weft Tie-Dye Studio, and the Ceramic Innovation Space Master Studio, establishing an integrated platform that combines industry, academia and research to cultivate skilled professionals and address the industry's talent shortages.
