News on June 10: The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce officially issued the new Administrative Measures for the Service Industry Development Fund on May 15, superseding the 2023 version. The special funds will remain in effect until 2028. Aimed at expanding domestic demand and facilitating the smooth flow of the domestic economic cycle, the funds focus on three key areas: fostering new growth drivers in consumption, enhancing the competitiveness of the commerce and trade distribution industry, and implementing other key service industry tasks as deployed by the government. Allocation methods are categorized into the factor-based method, the project-based method, and a combination of both. Support may take forms such as fiscal subsidies, discount interest, or awards in lieu of subsidies, while misappropriation, diversion, and irregular expenditure are strictly prohibited.
