The State Council has issued the 15th Five-Year Plan for Agricultural and Rural Modernization, setting a grain production capacity target of 1.45 trillion jin (0.725 trillion kilograms) by 2030. The plan focuses on emerging industries such as seed breeding, smart agricultural machinery, and the agricultural low-altitude economy. It also aims to address gaps in rural infrastructure, elderly care, and healthcare, improve long-term mechanisms to prevent a return to poverty, and coordinate urban-rural integration and the development of harmonious and beautiful rural areas.
