Six Key Initiatives! Shandong Unveils "AI + Manufacturing" Action Plan

On May 21, Shandong released the Shandong Province "AI + Manufacturing" Action Plan (2026–2028), which aims to integrate AI across the entire manufacturing value chain through six key initiatives. By 2028, the province aims for its AI industry to exceed 250 billion yuan in revenue, accounting for over 10% of the national total. It also plans to establish 200 high-level industrial intelligent entities and more than 100 leading and excellence-level smart factories. The plan focuses on six key initiatives: achieving breakthroughs in product volume and quality, fostering high-quality suppliers, empowering comprehensive applications, enhancing innovation capabilities, strengthening support for key factors, and providing safeguards through safety governance. These efforts will accelerate the transition from "Made in Shandong" to "Intelligent Manufacturing in Shandong".
