Shandong is working hard to advance ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. As part of the efforts, the province is building a green ecological corridor along the lower reaches and carrying out ecological restoration at Dongping Lake, the Yellow River Delta, and other areas. These efforts have contributed to continuous improvement in water environment quality. Notably, the nine cities along the Yellow River now account for half of the province's total economic output, and their new quality productive forces are growing rapidly. The province has relocated residents from the floodplain areas, providing secure housing and jobs for 600,000 people. Meanwhile, the province has also deepened the integration of culture and tourism, turning the cultural heritage of the Yellow River into a driving force for development. By prioritizing ecological conservation and pursuing green development, Shandong has delivered solid results in implementing the major national strategy for the Yellow River.
