"Research Report on Innovation Capacity in Shandong's Economic and Social Development" Released

On April 2, the Shandong Academy of Macroeconomic Research released the "Research Report on Innovation Capacity in Shandong's Economic and Social Development". Data shows that from 2018 to 2023, Shandong's overall innovation capacity increased by 73.15%, and its regional innovation capacity has ranked sixth in China for eight consecutive years. Additionally, 11 of its cities have been designated as national innovative cities, ranking second nationwide. The province has established a "1313" four-tier laboratory system, with its R&D investment increasing by more than 20 billion yuan annually for four consecutive years. The innovation output index saw the fastest growth, with a cumulative increase of 161.52% over the five-year period, while the transaction value of technology contracts increased 4.37-fold. Building an evaluation system across six dimensions, the report comprehensively demonstrates the continuous optimization of Shandong's innovation ecosystem and the steady enhancement of its innovation growth drivers, which provide strong support for Shandong's high-quality development.
