The 26th Plenary Meeting of the Singapore-Shandong Business Council was hosted in Jinan, Shandong, on March 31, 2026. Zhou Naixiang, Governor of Shandong Province, and Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister for Transport of Singapore, attended the meeting and delivered speeches as co-chairs of both sides.

Zhou stated that Shandong has continuously deepened cooperation with Singapore through the council platform, achieving fruitful results. He expressed the willingness to work with Singapore to jointly improve cooperation mechanisms, expand cooperation space in fields such as economy and trade, sci-tech, and culture, plan and promote the China-Singapore Jinan Future Industry City at a high level, while continuously creating a first-class business environment. Siow recognized the achievements of Shandong-Singapore cooperation, noting that Shandong is an important investment destination for Singapore in China, and he looks forward to deepening cooperation in fields such as technological innovation and green energy to achieve better common development.

At the meeting, representatives from both sides delivered speeches and exchanged views, and 10 projects were signed on-site. Peter Tan, Singapore's Ambassador to China, and Wen Nuan, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, also attended the meeting.
