Shandong will strive to establish a national medical center and develop 13 new national-level key clinical specialties. It will continue to deepen the reform of public hospitals and strengthen the operational support for grassroots medical institutions. The province will build a national demonstration zone for the comprehensive reform of traditional Chinese medicine to high standards. It will support Qingdao in building the “China Health Bay” and Weihai in creating an international health and wellness tourism pilot zone. The province will promote high-quality population development, implement policies related to marriage leave, maternity leave, and childcare subsidies, and carry out a consumption subsidy program for elderly care services for disabled seniors. It will also launch an initiative to advance the integration of medical and elderly care services.
