Shandong Province Strives to Develop Itself into a Culturally Advanced Province

Shandong Province will intensify efforts to build itself into a culturally advanced province. To achieve that, it will promote cultural-ethical advancement by practicing the core socialist values and extensively implementing projects to carry forward revolutionary traditions. Meanwhile, the province will advance systematic transformation across mainstream media while promoting the prosperity and development of cultural undertakings. For example, innovative efforts will be made to host the China International Confucius Culture Festival and the Nishan Forum on World Civilizations, and more systematic protection will be offered for strengthening the systematic protection of cultural heritage. In addition, the province will also initiate project selection for the Qilu Culture and Art Peak Plan and the New Mass Culture and Art Project and implement actions to improve the quality and efficiency of public cultural services. In regard to boosting and expanding tourism and regional development, the province plans to develop the Qilu Culture Large Model and establish the Shandong Cultural Data Center, while also incubating high-definition video industrial clusters. The Kongtong Shengjing Project in Yantai and many other tourism projects will be wrapped up to promote the quality upgrade of inbound tourism. Plans to enhance educational and study-tour tourism will be implemented, and literature- and art-themed towns and villages, as well as high-quality but previously lesser-known destinations, will be specifically developed. Additionally, particular efforts will be made to ensure the successful hosting of the 26th Shandong Province Sports Games.
