Shandong to Vigorously Advance Construction of Beautiful China Pilot Zone

Shandong will carry out the following initiatives: Steadily advancing carbon peaking; Advancing the development of national carbon-peaking pilot cities and establishing 20 zero-carbon zones at the provincial level or above; Building a robust new energy system; Accelerating key wind, solar, nuclear, and hydrogen projects to bring installed non-fossil energy capacity to 150 million kilowatts; Ensuring effective new energy consumption and exploring new models for source-grid-load-storage integration; Continuously increasing the proportion of green electricity transmitted to Shandong; Strengthening pollution prevention, control, and ecological protection; Completing whole-process ultra-low emission retrofitting for over 70% of production capacity in the cement and coking industries; Strengthening ecological protection along the Grand Canal; Building beautiful cities through the "One City, One Brand" initiative; Advancing the high-quality construction of the Yellow River Estuary National Park.
