Shandong Province Accelerates Comprehensive Rural Revitalization

The province supports the growth of industries that benefit local people. It fosters a number of agricultural product processing enterprises with an annual revenue exceeding RMB 10 billion. Furthermore, the province supports the development of distinctive industries, such as Rizhao salmon, Binzhou salt field shrimp, Linqu goose liver, Boshan kiwifruit, Pingyi honeysuckle, and Wendeng American ginseng. It implements a program to upgrade the facility agriculture in villages where the collective economy remains underdeveloped. It promotes the upgrading of rural tourism and strengthens initiatives for rural development. The province launches a new round of environmental improvement for rural living, renovating 17,000 village clinics and over 6,000 hazardous rural houses.
