Shandong has recently released the Action Plan for Advancing Green Transformation and Improving Carbon Footprint Management System.
Shandong has selected Qingdao, Dongying, Yantai, and Liaocheng as regional pilots for carbon footprint explorations, designing implementation paths tailored to each city's unique conditions and priorities. This approach aims to create a distinctive "one city, one feature" model for the pilot program.
The Action Plan proposes the development of green and low-carbon supply chains and promotes green and low-carbon transformation among enterprises in key industries.
To enhance the development of green trade, Shandong will introduce a "Green Trade" category in the exhibition catalog of the "Ten Thousand Enterprises Going Global, Shandong Trade Worldwide" overseas exhibitions in 2026. By leveraging both domestic and international exhibition platforms, Shandong aims to showcase and promote its green and low-carbon products and technologies. By seizing opportunities in emerging markets such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East, Shandong will prioritize expanding the exports of green and low-carbon products, including new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, photovoltaic products, green vessels, green power equipment, and wind turbine units.
