Qingdao Unveils Three-Year Plan to Boost Wellness Tourism Sector

Qingdao recently released its Three-Year Action Plan (2025–27) for Advancing High-Quality Development in Wellness Tourism.

Leveraging Qingdao's unique coastal resources, this plan outlines a clear roadmap for developing the city's wellness tourism sector, positioning it as a premier domestic and internationally recognized coastal wellness tourism destination.

By 2027, Qingdao aims to establish five regionally competitive industry leaders, develop 15 model wellness tourism bases, and introduce 10 premium specialty offerings. The initiative will foster an integrated industrial chain ecosystem, merging the sector with healthcare, culture, sports, and marine industries. Capitalizing on its coastal resources, hot springs, and mountain-sea landscapes, the city will deliver tailored wellness experiences for diverse elderly populations.
