Shandong's Textile Industry Transforms from Apparel Manufacturing to Advanced Material Production

Data indicate that Shandong has established a comprehensive industrial chain spanning fiber materials, textile manufacturing, dyeing-finishing, garment production, and brand management, hosting over 50,000 manufacturers and 22 national-level industrial clusters.

Shandong plans to form innovation alliances focusing on cutting-edge workwear design, functional yarn/fabric R&D, advanced dyeing technologies, and AI applications, while establishing high-end workwear manufacturing innovation hubs. Concurrently, Shandong will launch an industrial chain upgrade initiative to develop specialized clusters for functional yarns, textile materials, and finished garments based on regional strengths.
