Ningjin, Shandong: Characteristic Elevator Industry Transforms to Smart Manufacturing

The elevator industry is a characteristic and competitive sector in Ningjin County. The county has established a 1,000-mu elevator industrial zone and a steel shared processing center. Local suppliers provide essential elevator components, with products spanning five major categories and over 3,000 varieties. The county commands over 60% of the domestic market share, achieving an annual output value of more than 7 billion yuan. It has developed into the largest production base for complete elevators and components north of the Yangtze River in China.

In recent years, Ningjin County has focused on promoting "intelligent and digital transformation" among enterprises, driving the upgrading of traditional manufacturing through "intelligent, environmentally friendly, and integrated" approaches. The elevator industry has leaped from component production to an industrial cluster and from manufacturing to smart manufacturing. In 2025, Ningjin County's elevator equipment manufacturing characteristic industrial cluster was selected as a characteristic industrial cluster in Shandong Province.
