Shandong Plans for Future Industries: Over 1,100 Key AI Enterprises

Recently, the Information Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government held a press conference to introduce the achievements of building a province with digital strength during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Shandong had a total of 50 national-level and provincial-level strategic emerging industrial clusters, with their combined scale exceeding 3.66 trillion yuan. The province's AI-related industries surpassed 100 billion yuan in scale, with over 1,100 key AI enterprises and 29 registered generative AI services.

Shandong actively plans for future industries, supports Jinan, Qingdao, and Yantai in accelerating the construction of future industry pilot zones, and fosters a future industry development framework characterized by provincial-municipal coordination, complementary regional positioning, and localized agglomeration. Moreover, Shandong vigorously cultivates the data industry. Jinan and Qingdao have been selected as national pilot zones for data industry cluster development. Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai, Tai'an, and Rizhao are among the 23 cities nationwide designated for "actively developing the data annotation industry."
