Shandong's Three Platforms Selected for the First Batch of Bio-Manufacturing Pilot-Scale Testing Capacity Building Platforms by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology

Following procedures such as provincial-level departmental recommendations, expert evaluations, and public announcements, the inaugural list of bio-manufacturing pilot-scale testing capacity building platforms has been released, with 43 platforms nationwide selected. Among them, Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (biopharmaceuticals), Shandong Lonct Enzymes Co., Ltd. (enzyme preparations), and Shandong University (food and additives; enzyme preparations) have been included.

Focusing on key product sectors, including food and additives, biopharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemicals, energy, and enzyme preparations, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has proposed establishing bio-manufacturing pilot-scale testing capacity building platforms to drive collaborative innovation across the industrial chain. Platforms included in the list need to concentrate on their respective service domains, continuously increase resource investment, strengthen hardware and software infrastructure, enhance professional talent development, and elevate platform openness and pilot-scale testing service capabilities.
