Shandong's Three Products Selected for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's First Batch of Bio-Manufacturing Landmark Products

To enhance the integrated development capabilities of bio-manufacturing across "technology R&D, production and manufacturing, as well as marketing," the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a call for bio-manufacturing landmark products. Following recommendations from provincial-level industrial and information technology authorities and expert evaluations, 35 products in the first batch were announced.

Shandong's three products were selected: hyaluronic acid from Bloomage Biotechnology Corporation Limited, glucosamine from Shandong Runde Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and trans-aconitic acid from the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

According to reports, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will establish a database of bio-manufacturing landmark products. Products included in the list will receive enhanced publicity and promotion, with support provided through existing policy channels to boost their capabilities of technological innovation, R&D, production, and marketing.
