The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the first batch of national-level manufacturing pilot-scale testing platforms. A total of 21 platforms nationwide were selected, including the Green Chemical Engineering and New Materials Pilot-Scale Testing Platform of Shandong Chambroad Petrochemicals Co., Ltd.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has clarified that by 2027, a modern pilot-scale testing platform system will be largely established. The first selection process commenced this year, involving local recommendations, formal reviews, multiple rounds of expert evaluations, and on-site inspections. Ultimately, 21 national-level platforms were selected across sectors including petrochemicals, integrated circuits, advanced materials, instrumentation, and industrial machine tools.
Specifically, the province will promote the coordination between the construction of manufacturing pilot-scale testing platforms and the existing pilot-scale testing functions of sci-tech innovation platforms and bases. This will be integrated with the development of innovation incubation centers and industrial development clusters, such as national high-tech development zones, industrial zones, clusters of advanced manufacturing industries, and characteristic industrial clusters for small and medium-sized businesses. The aim is to create superposition, aggregation, and multiplication effects.
