Weihai's Seven Manufacturing Industrial Clusters Generated Over 200 Billion Yuan in Revenue in the First Three Quarters

In 2025, Weihai drives strategic emerging industries such as carbon fiber and medical devices toward higher-end advancement. Since the beginning of this year, Weihai has successfully been approved as a provincial pilot zone for the innovative development of the digital economy. Additionally, two provincial-level "industrial brains" for fishing gear and recreational vehicles have been established. The carbon fiber aerospace composite material cluster, represented by carbon fiber, has been included in the second batch of provincial digital industrial clusters. Weihai ranks first in the province regarding the proportion of high-tech industry output value in the value of industries above the designated size.

Moreover, Weihai has integrated green principles throughout its industrial transformation. In 2025, Weihai focuses on planning and developing clean energy industries such as nuclear power, wind power, and pumped storage. Leveraging the Shandong Offshore Wind Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Base in Rushan Port, the city has identified 15 industrial chains and 144 key upstream and downstream enterprises. Currently, the city's new energy industrial cluster includes 76 enterprises above the designated size and has been selected as one of the "goose formation" industrial clusters in the province's "Top Ten Industries".
