Full Coverage: Shandong Launches Technological Innovation Action Plans for All 19 Flagship Industrial Chains

Recently, the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, together with relevant departments, issued three-year technological innovation action plans for four industries: robotics, modern food, light industry and textiles, and modern metallurgy. The plans focus on the key areas and weaknesses of industry development, setting clear priorities for breakthroughs in core technologies, major flagship products, and demonstration applications.

At a recent policy briefing held by the Information Office of the People's Government of Shandong Province, Sun Haisheng, Director-General of the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province, announced that following the release and implementation of these four new action plans, innovation initiatives now extend across all 19 of the province's flagship industrial chains.

According to the plans, by 2028 Shandong aims to achieve breakthroughs in over 200 basic frontier and core technologies, deliver more than 80 original major achievements, establish more than 20 leading industrial clusters, and accelerate a significant upgrade in the province's industrial capabilities.
