Recently, Shandong held a provincial conference to advance the planning and implementation of major projects, discussing the planning and execution of such initiatives. The meeting clearly identified "industrial upgrading, infrastructure, energy transition, urban-rural integration, and people’s livelihood improvement" as the five key areas for project planning and implementation.
Industrial upgrading focuses on transforming traditional industries and cultivating emerging sectors, aiming to propel industries toward medium and high-end development. Infrastructure addresses shortcomings in connectivity, striving to enhance foundational support such as transportation and energy. Energy transition responds to the demands of green development, accelerating the establishment of a clean, low-carbon energy system. Urban-rural integration tackles challenges in coordinated regional development, promoting the two-way flow of resources between urban and rural areas. People’s livelihood improvement addresses the pressing concerns of the public, elevating the standard of public services.
