Aviation maintenance is a key component of the aviation industry and a high-end segment of the service industry. Data from the Shandong Aviation Industry Association shows that the scale of Shandong's civil aviation maintenance industry is growing at a relatively fast rate and currently accounts for about 5% to 7% of the national total.

Currently, Shandong is focusing on building a clustered aviation maintenance industry base, aiming to become an important national hub for industry aggregation and a source of innovation. Millimeter-level construction, real-time fault warnings, AR-simulated disassembly and assembly... These "high-tech" advancements in aviation maintenance have become important capabilities for Shandong enterprises.

Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. has become the largest maintenance base for Chinese-made aircraft in China. Its capabilities in airframe maintenance and modification continue to break through, with annual deliveries exceeding 600 aircraft. It ranks first globally in delivery capacity for Boeing BCF passenger-to-freighter conversions. The number of components repaired by Shandong Xiangyu Aviation Technology Services Co., Ltd. surpassed the 200,000 mark in June this year.
