Connecting to the World, Shandong Boasts A Powerful Growth Driver of High-Level Openness

Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Shandong has remained committed to building a first-class business environment that is market-driven, law-based, and globalized, consistently enhancing the level of service provided to multinational companies. This year, Shandong launched the dedicated initiative named Service and Support for Foreign Enterprises, delivering even more meticulous services to foreign-funded enterprises for their investment and operations in the province.

The focus is on expanding international investment attraction and elevating the efficiency of foreign investment utilization. Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Shandong has accelerated efforts to attract foreign investment, successfully hosting major themed events on investment attraction, such as the Qingdao Multinationals Summit, Hong Kong-Macao-Shandong Week, Singapore-Shandong Week, the Conference of Great Business Partners, and the Shandong in Dialogue with Multinationals on Supply Chain Cooperation. The province has also actively participated in national high-level open events like the China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) to deepen communication and interaction with investors both at home and abroad.

Currently, the province is home to more than 19,000 foreign-funded enterprises in operation, including 236 Fortune Global 500 enterprises that have invested in 943 projects across Shandong. Next, Shandong will remain committed to promoting reform through openness and making the most of high-level open platforms.
