Shandong Builds New Hub for High-Quality Commercial Aerospace Development with National Influence

Shandong recently released the Several Measures for Accelerating High-Quality Development of Shandong's Commercial Aerospace Industry. As per the document, Shandong aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 100 carrier rockets and 150 commercial satellites, expand the scale of the commercial aerospace industry to 50 billion yuan, and establish a new hub for high-quality commercial aerospace development with national influence by 2027.

Focusing on strengthening the "maritime launch advantages" of the Dongfang Spaceport and the province's "liquid rocket testing advantages," Shandong will enhance capabilities in rocket manufacturing and next-generation rocket R&D while promoting routine rocket launches. Emphasizing the integrated development of space applications, big data, and AI, Shandong will provide rewards of up to 5 million yuan for each qualifying computing power trading scenario related to satellite data and up to 1 million yuan for each eligible large model product for satellite applications.
