Shandong Improves Data Assessment Framework for SME Digital Transformation

The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province recently issued the SME Digital Transformation Guidelines in Shandong Province. This comes as Shandong's cities were selected as pilot cities for national SME digital transformation and Shandong works to build guidance zones for SME digital transformation.

As part of its efforts, Shandong will focus on key industries and specialized industrial clusters to cultivate a batch of exemplary scenarios, benchmark enterprises, and innovative models for digital transformation.

Moving forward, Shandong will establish a three-tier work coordination mechanism spanning provincial, municipal, and county levels. The province plans to integrate targeted, effective, and practical transformation policies and measures across all administrative levels, support enterprises in conducting assessments, training, and exchanges, and channel resources toward businesses. This initiative aims to explore and establish regional approaches, implementation pathways, and market mechanisms for advancing digital transformation.
