Shandong Allocates Special Funds to Support High-Quality Literature and Art Projects

Shandong Province will allocate a special fund of 10 million yuan annually, starting this year, to incubate high-quality literature and art projects. The Publicity Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee recently issued the Implementation Guidelines for the Creation, Promotion, and Incubation of Fine Literature and Art Works in Shandong Province (Trial). The implementation guidelines aim to strategically plan and advance the incubation of fine literary and artistic projects, encouraging literary and art professionals to effectively narrate stories of China and Shandong, thus producing more outstanding works.

The implementation guidelines clearly outline the scope of incubation projects, providing support for four-pronged literary and artistic creation projects emphasizing "excellent creativity, compelling topics, quality scripts, and promising talent". The funding limits are as follows: up to 1 million yuan for drama, film, and TV series projects; up to 500,000 yuan for documentaries, animations, and online audio-visual projects; up to 200,000 yuan for literature, radio plays, fine arts, music, and folk art; and up to 100,000 yuan for calligraphy, photography, and literary and artistic criticism.
