Shandong to Reward and Subsidize Industry Large Models and Corpora in Vertical Fields

In the first half of this year, the output value of Shandong's artificial intelligence industry exceeded 65 billion yuan, accounting for about 9% of the national total. Article 13 of the List of Third Batch Policies for Promoting Steady and Sound Economic Growth and Improving Quality specifically mentions strengthening the application of artificial intelligence, with the provincial government allocating 30 million yuan in funding to reward outstanding industry large models and high-quality corpora in vertical fields.

According to reports, starting in 2025, Shandong will provide rewards and subsidies for around 30 large model projects annually. Over the course of three years, approximately 100 outstanding vertical industry large models will be developed in the aforementioned priority fields. Based on criteria such as technical performance, innovation, promotion value, and economic and social benefits, and after expert review, large model projects may receive a one-time reward and subsidy of up to 1 million yuan. This is intended to encourage enterprises to strengthen the R&D of large models.
