Shandong Unveils 13 Measures to Boost High-quality Development in Construction Sector

Recently, Shandong Province introduced a comprehensive set of new policies aimed at bolstering economic stability, including specialized measures for the construction industry detailed in the Work Plan for Enhancing High-quality Development in Construction Industry to Support Economic Growth.

Private construction enterprises represent a significant component of Shandong's construction sector. The "Work Plan" explicitly emphasizes improving services for private construction enterprises, addressing market barriers impeding their development, and fostering a fair competitive environment.

Efforts will be made to expedite the establishment of a unified national market, ensuring private construction enterprises can equitably engage in "two key" (major national strategies and security capacity in key areas) and "two new" (large scale equipment renewal and trade in of consumer goods) project developments, thereby opening access to markets in modern urban infrastructure, city renovation, transportation, and water resource management. Additionally, by consistently releasing project opportunity lists with details such as investment scale and qualification criteria, private construction enterprises are empowered with clear and accessible information.
