Shandong Raises the Prize for the Highest Science and Technology Award to 5 Million Yuan and Adds the Youth Science and Technology Award

The newly revised document of Scientific and Technological Reward Measures of Shandong Province was recently announced and will take effect on November 1, 2025. The updated version has newly introduced the "Youth Science and Technology Award" with a prize of 500,000 yuan per recipient. The prize for the Highest Science and Technology Award has been increased from 3 million yuan to 5 million yuan.

According to the revised Reward Measures, there are six categories for the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Award, including the Highest Science and Technology Award, Natural Science Award, Technological Invention Award, Scientific and Technological Progress Award, Youth Science and Technology Award, and International Science and Technology Cooperation Award. The Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Award is reviewed annually, with the Highest Science and Technology Award, Youth Science and Technology Award, and International Science and Technology Cooperation Award being non-graded.
