In 2024, Linyi had 161 enterprises above designated size in its premium grain, oil, and deep processing industrial chain, with output value surpassing 30 billion yuan. This strong industrial performance is underpinned by a modern, interconnected value chain that continues to grow. Linyi is establishing a new industrial profile as "China's Food Capital."
Linyi has developed three distinctive processing clusters. The first cluster focuses on peanut and vegetable oil processing, centered in Junan County, with 222 peanut processing enterprises, including 21 above designated size. The second cluster is the baked food industrial cluster, where more than 670 enterprises process over 6 million tons of food annually. Yishui County is now the nation's largest production base for sachima (caramel treat) and purple candy. The third cluster engages in the grain processing, featuring Wudeli, the world's largest single flour mill, and Douhuangjin, the pioneer of zero-additive natural rolls of dried bean milk cream, advancing products from basic processing to functional and healthy deep processing.
