Rushan, Shandong: Made-in-Shandong Wind Turbines Propel a Billion-Yuan Industry

With Rushan Port as its core, Rushan City has attracted over 100 companies within an area of nearly 100 square kilometers, focusing on establishing a distinctive industrial cluster for wind power equipment. Currently, it has preliminarily established an offshore wind power industrial chain that integrates the production of key components, such as turbines, towers, monopiles, and submarine cables, along with energy storage, training, operation, and maintenance testing. This has resulted in a clustered development model encompassing upstream wind farm development, midstream equipment manufacturing, and downstream construction and operational maintenance.

The emergence of Rushan's offshore wind power equipment manufacturing industrial cluster is attributed to the targeted investment attraction strategy of "introducing leading enterprises and building industrial chains." Focusing on the comprehensive development of the offshore wind power industrial chain, Rushan City, led by Mingyang Smart Energy and Envision Energy, has systematically identified 15 industrial chains and 144 key upstream and downstream enterprises. It is actively carrying out industrial chain investment promotion to foster the coordinated development of vertical supply-demand chains and horizontal collaboration chains in offshore wind power.
