Binzhou Zhanhua: 127-Household Fishing Net Village Weaves a 300-Million-Yuan "Wealth Network"

Hedong Lijia Village, located in Dagao Town of Zhanhua District, Binzhou, has transformed its traditional fishing net business into an international success with annual sales exceeding 300 million yuan. Utilizing e-commerce live streaming and industry upgrades, its products are now exported to Russia, the Republic of Korea, and Southeast Asia, creating jobs for over 30,000 people in nearby areas.

The village has embraced the e-commerce opportunity by establishing a community micro-factory, enticing over 40 young individuals to return and launch entrepreneurial ventures locally. To boost the industry’s competitiveness, Dagao Town invested 8 million yuan to create a fishing net industry demonstration base. This facility combines production, exhibitions, sales, live streaming, and other functions to promote a comprehensive development model integrating bases, e-commerce, and logistics.

Focusing on tradition and innovation, fishing nets have evolved from practical tools to cultural products. Innovative items, such as Frisbee hand-casting nets, achieve a profit margin of 20%. Currently, the fishing net industry not only boosts villagers' incomes but has also fostered the creation of the provincial labor brand "Zhanhua Zhifugong (Weaving Rich Worker)", solidifying its role as a pivotal sector for enriching local residents and strengthening the town's economy.
