Yantai Achieves Cost-Efficient Logistics with Integrated Transportation Methods: Road, Rail, Water, and Air

Over recent years, as multimodal transport continues to evolve, Yantai's incorporation of "road, rail, water, and air" transportation methods has successfully driven cost reductions and efficiency improvements in logistics operations.

In Yantai, the "sea-air transport" model has demonstrated significant benefits. Cross-border e-commerce goods are transported via China-Korea liner routes to the Republic of Korea, where Incheon Airport serves as a transfer hub, enabling shipments to Europe, South America, and other regions. This integration of various transport methods not only establishes an international air logistics channel for Yantai's cross-border e-commerce but also cuts total logistics costs by approximately 20%.

Additionally, Yantai has capitalized on the opportunity presented by low-altitude economic development, successfully conducting a trial verification flight for cross-sea drone transport between Penglai and Changdao. Furthermore, eight Yantai companies such as Yitong UAV and Yundu Haiying UAV promoted by Yantai were selected into the public list of key products and typical application scenarios in the low-altitude field of Shandong Province, accounting for one-tenth of the provincial total.
