Shandong's First-Half Lithium-Ion Battery Output Rises 35.7% YoY

Recently, a matching event for integration and consolidation of the new energy battery industrial chain was successfully held in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province. During the first half of this year, the provincial lithium-ion battery production rose by 35.7% compared to the previous year, marking a phase of rapid development for the new energy battery sector.

The new energy battery industrial chain, classified among the 19 flagship industrial chains prioritized by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, serves as a critical driver for the province's green, low-carbon, and high-quality development. In recent years, as eminent projects led by Sunwoda, FinDreams, and CATL have materialized in Shandong Province, a comprehensive industrial framework encompassing battery production, essential materials, and fundamental resources has been established. By 2024, the province's industrial scale is anticipated to achieve over 20% year-on-year growth.

In this event, the "Supply and Demand List of New Energy Battery Enterprises in Shandong Province" and the "Promotion Manual for Outstanding Products in the New Energy Battery Sector in Shandong Province" were released. Over 200 supply and demand items were announced within the province, showcasing the excellent products and services of more than 50 enterprises. This initiative further advanced collaboration between the upstream and downstream sectors of the industrial chain.
