First 100,000-ton General Berth in Dongying Begins Foreign Trade Operations

Recently, the vessel "Libra", departing from Australia and carrying 88,000 tons of bauxite, successfully berthed at Zhonghaojian 1# Wharf, marking the inaugural foreign trade voyage of Dongying Port's first general-purpose berth. This milestone establishes a foundation for Dongying Port's transformation into a billion-ton deep-water harbor, a pivotal national port, and a key energy security hub.

In recent years, Dongying Port has dedicated efforts to advancing 11 significant port development projects, with a total investment of 13.7 billion yuan. These projects include a 250,000-ton single-point mooring facility, a jetty container berth, and a specialized railway line. Upon completion, the enhanced berth configuration will optimize port functionality, address the transportation requirements of businesses within the port's hinterland, and establish a multimodal transport network encompassing road, rail, sea, and pipeline. This development is anticipated to serve as a catalyst for the rapid economic growth of Dongying and the Yellow River Delta Economic Zone.
