"Single Window" Helps Improve the Efficiency of Trade Exchanges among SCO Member States

Recently, the "Single Window" Cooperation Exchange Conference of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province‌. The "Single Window" has effectively enhanced cross-border trade efficiency and trade facilitation by unifying data standards, strengthening electronic interactions, and sharing trade information‌.

According to customs statistics, since China embarked on the development of the "Single Window" in 2016, it has cumulatively exchanged 1.035 million pieces of electronic information on trade documents with other SCO member states, with an average annual growth rate of 4.5%‌.

As an internationally accepted key measure to optimize the port business environment and promote cross-border trade facilitation, the "Single Window" constitutes a crucial provision in the Trade Facilitation Agreement of the World Trade Organization. To date, over 100 countries and economies worldwide have implemented this system‌.
