Recently, the Shandong-Central Asia Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference was held in Qingdao. Over the past three years, the trade volume between the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area and Central Asian countries has increased by an average of 14.6% annually, facilitating the entry of Shandong's machinery and electrical equipment, textiles, and agricultural and sideline products into countless households in Central Asia, while attracting energy, minerals, and agricultural products from Central Asia to the Chinese market. This has made it the best "outlet" for Central Asian goods to reach the world. In the first half of this year, Shandong's imports and exports to the five Central Asian countries reached 14.19 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 36.4%.
Shandong and Central Asia have strong complementarity and broad cooperation potential in areas such as modern agriculture, equipment manufacturing, and green minerals. There is significant collaborative potential between Central Asia's development prospects and Shandong's manufacturing advantages. Both sides look forward to optimizing trade structures, expanding trade scales, and actively building a comprehensive, multi-level, and wide-ranging economic and trade cooperation system.
