Shandong Province Announces Action Plan for Sci-Tech Innovation in Cultural Industry

With the approval of the People's Government of Shandong Province after consideration, the Action Plan for Sci-Tech Innovation in Cultural Industry in Shandong Province (2025–2027) has been recently launched and implemented. The Action Plan outlines that by 2027, Shandong will achieve breakthroughs in over 20 key technologies with independent intellectual property rights, establish more than 10 exemplary application scenarios, and incubate approximately 20 key enterprises integrating culture and technology with Shandong characteristics, ultimately positioning Shandong as a national model for the integration of culture and technology.

In addition, the Action Plan emphasizes advancing breakthroughs in new technologies that integrate culture with technology. Efforts will also be intensified for breakthroughs in technologies in pioneering interdisciplinary fields, generic technologies, and system integration technologies to master a number of leading technologies with independent intellectual property rights.

Furthermore, it proposes to focus on the R&D of new equipment that integrates culture and technology, expediting the R&D of next-generation interactive, display, intelligent, and other equipment while promoting their industrial implementation within the cultural domain.
