On July 1, the first tax declaration day occurred since the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area (Qingdao FTZ) began implementing the offshore trade stamp duty preferential policy. As the sole northern free trade pilot zone endorsed for this policy, the Qingdao FTX's offshore trade volume has increased annually by over 50% since the policy's start. The completion of the tax exemption submission marks the commencement of this incentive scheme in the Qingdao FTZ.
Qingdao FTZ actively develops innovative formats like barter trade, cross-border offshore trade, and e-commerce to foster fresh foreign trade growth dynamics. Offshore trade remains a centerpiece in new trade format development within the zone. Besides initiating the offshore trade stamp duty exemption, the zone has deployed various measures to boost foreign trade expansion and bolster local enterprises' international market reach and competitiveness.
